Tinker Crate: Trebuchet

Tinker crate is a STEM DIY craft box subscription. It supplies your child with a hands on experience of creating their very own experiments. The booklet gives step by step directions and even has fun activities to try with your items. I love the inclusion of historical fun facts also! In this box we got the supplies to build a trebuchet. A trebuchet is a type of catapult that was used in the Middle Ages. It was later replaced by the cannon. It was incredibly easy to assemble. My only issue with this box was that they forgot one piece, a single strand of rope. We had to use some string from our craft supplies to replace it but it ended up being fine. Even with that mistake I am still very happy with this box. It is perfect for our little girl who has such a curiosity and interest in science and in how things work. Tinker Crate is $19.95/a month with free shipping. If you are interested in signing up you can do so HERE.

I can be pretty crafty and enjoy doing projects with Seri but this seemed like a perfect project for her to do with her daddy. He is in the military and has so much less time with her so I am happy to take a step back and let them have this moment. He is big into STEM and I think Tinker crate is a great way for them to bond.

...and there it goes!! Eureka! It works!!

This is why I love box subscriptions. They can create a moment like this one. Never take for granted these precious moments with your children. Better to have smiles instead of regrets.
